Triple Strategy — Weekly

The world is complex.
Most analysis
misses the point.

Global events don't happen in a vacuum — and the big investment banks aren't the ones best placed to explain them. This newsletter offers something different: insight shaped by careers in military service, private contractor to government agencies in active conflict zones, law enforcement, and entrepreneurship. Context you won't find anywhere else, delivered free, every week.

"The investment banks do financial analysis better than anyone. What they can't give you is the human context behind events — the kind that only comes from being in the room."

Triple Strategy — The Brief

What's inside each issue

Not more data. A better way to read it.

01

Global events decoded from the ground up

Conflicts, policy shifts, and geopolitical movements — analysed through the lens of someone who has operated in them, not just studied them from a distance.

02

What it means for your financial decisions

Context without application is just interesting. Every issue connects the dots to how global complexity flows through to interest rates, markets, and the decisions that affect your mortgage and wealth.

03

Perspective you genuinely cannot get elsewhere

Military service, private contractor to government agencies in active conflict zones, law enforcement, entrepreneurship — that career arc produces a way of seeing the world that no MBA or analyst desk can replicate.

Who writes this

Some insight can only be earned. Not studied.

I'm not a financial analyst. I'm a finance specialist who spent decades before this in careers where complexity was real and consequences were immediate — military service, private contractor to government agencies in active conflict zones, law enforcement, and building businesses from scratch.

I've spent more of my life overseas than in Australia, working across cultures and conflicts that most people only read about. I speak three languages. And across those careers, I've worked inside state, federal, and international government agencies in ways that even the most seasoned investigative journalists rarely get access to.

That's not a credential I wear lightly — it's the reason this newsletter exists. There are things you learn from that vantage point that simply don't surface anywhere else. I'm sharing them here, every week, for free.

None of that experience exists in isolation from formal study either. I hold a postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, a diploma in mortgage broking, a diploma in investigations, and studied behavioural psychology at the undergraduate level. The combination matters more than any single piece of it — lived experience without a framework to interpret it is just anecdote, and study without the lived experience to stress-test it is just theory.
